The Dancenter Out & About
We apologize!!! It's true! We got a little bit lax with the news updates last season. That will be changing this season. We will be updating more frequently. A few things we missed - the birth of the beautiful & charming Jackson Wilkinson, son of Miss Amanda; a ton of really outstanding student scholarships, achievements & awards. But, if you would like to catch up please go to the following YouTube link & give us a look. ;)
Congratulations to Dancenter students Kristen Privette & Zarah Cobbfor making the University of Oklahoma Pom Squad for the 2013-2014 year. Our senior dancers recently returned from their summer trip to NYC. The dancers attended classes at the Alvin Ailey School, Broadway Dance Center, and The Pulse Dance Convention taking classes from world-renowned choreographers such as Brian Friedman (X Factor, America's Got Talent, Britney Spears), Dave Scott (Step Up movie series & SYTYCD), Brooke Lipton (choreographer for Glee), Robert Hoffman (lead male in Step Up 2 & YouTubes's Urban Ninja), Tessandra Chavez (SYTYCD), & Tyce Diorio (SYTYCD). The dancers also performed a hip hop routine in The Pulse NYC showcase. Student Ronnie Treadway recieved a year long Pulse Pro-Protege scholarship to tour with the company assisting the choreographers and staff.
